Flat-pack design makes it easy to transport. It takes up much less space than an equivalent fully-assembled table, and it's easier to move each piece individually than wrestling with a fully-assembled table.

This was desk 1 of 5, made with a different supplier of oak butcher block. This one featured traditional joinery with a dadoed back panel and glued miter joints with blind splines for strength.
